Advocate Children’s Medical Group (ACMG) and Advocate Children’s Hospital (ACH) seek a full time BC/BE Pediatric Neurosurgeon for our Campus in Oak Lawn, Ill. ACH is the largest network provider of pediatric services in Illinois and among the top 10 in the nation. ACH serves as a major referral center for infants and children. Through a special, holistic approach, ACH combines some of the country’s most respected medical talent with exceptional and compassionate care. We serve more children in the state than any other pediatric provider.

The Pediatric Neurosurgeon position within the Division of Pediatric Neurosurgery at Advocate Children’s Hospital will join our team of eight neurologists and three neurosurgeons; you will be part of our expanding Neurosciences Institute.  You will be a collaborative partner within a team of outstanding multidisciplinary professionals while enjoying full support from nearly 120 pediatric and surgical subspecialists, exceptional pediatric anesthesia and state of the art diagnostic capabilities. The primary site of clinical practice will be ACH-Oak Lawn, a 421 licensed beds, including 133 Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), 15 PICU beds and 9 PSHU beds.

The Pediatric Neurosurgeon will see patients in outpatient clinics, perform surgeries, provide consults in the Pediatric Inpatient Units and Emergency Department, and share in Pediatric Neurosurgery on-call coverage. M-F 9-5, Clinic 9-12 PM/1-5 PM.E Evenings/weekends/holidays as needed for call coverage

Scheduled patients will be evaluated in clinic.  Provide consults to patients in the Pediatric Emergency Department when on-call. Provide consults to patients in the Pediatric Inpatient Units (NICU, PICU, and Med/Surg) when on call. Expectation is to share Pediatric Neurosurgery Call in conjunction with existing Pediatric Neurosurgeon

We require fellowship trained in Pediatric Neurosurgery, BC/BE in Neurosurgery

Licensed to practice medicine in Illinois by date of hire. Physician must be able to demonstrate the ability to keep both the parents and the patient satisfied with both process and outcome and be able to build relationships with established group and with other members of the Medical Staff in order to positively influence referral patterns. Interest and commitment to academics and teaching and ability to work in a high pressure demanding environment are needed. Not J 1 Eligible
