Fairview Health Services is seeking 1 board certified / board eligible Adult Psychiatrist at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN.
In this role, the psychiatrist’s primary appointment will be in the adult Mental Illness / Chemical Dependency (MICD) Unit. The focus of this unit is on detoxification, stabilization, assessment and placement.
Fairview Health Services offers a wide range of mental health and substance abuse services throughout the Twin Cities and greater MN, including: emergency, inpatient, outpatient, partial hospitalization, residential, day treatment, therapy and community-based support and advocacy groups.
Opportunity is available to teach medical students and residents as adjunct faculty in the University of Minnesota Medical School's Department of Psychiatry.
 Practice Details:

Practice Location: University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis, MN.
Join a team of Psychiatrists, Addiction Medicine specialists, program director, case managers, and nursing staff.
Call: Shared amongst 11 providers, additional call pay provided.
Openings: 1.0 FTE (4 day clinical work week)
We have a fully integrated Electronic Medical Record (EPIC).
Income Details: Competitive salaried compensation plus call pay.

Position Qualifications: 

Graduate of an accredited ACGME psychiatry residency training program.
Addiction Fellowship not required. Candidate must have interest in MICD patient population.
Board Certified/Board Prepared with the American Board of Medical Specialties or American Osteopathic Association.
Licensed or ability to obtain Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Licensure.
Ability to obtain and /or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota.
Meet threshold criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and Privileges.
